From the author and creator of the song, Robert James 'Jasmine' Rintoull:
"Autumn of Our Love is a ballad, where the 'I' in the song is seeking the renewal of a golden age on the earth, through an awakening of humanity's awareness of the Earth as their mother. A kind of Gaia, Narthus, Sophia, Mata Devi thing - when I wrote it, I didn't have the cultural tools to express it consciously in this way, so it was more personal in its embodiment."
Jasmine's body of work across literature, poetry and music is prodigious. Jimmy selected 'Autumn of Our Love' as tribute, feeling this particular track to be not only the pinnacle of Jasmine's musical work, being the softest, most heartfelt and most emotionally delicate, but also, most representative of Jasmine. Jimmy also admits to being biased in the selection, as he quite simply loved the song and wanted to record it. For Jimmy, Autumn of Our Love represented, lyrically, a more earthly sentiment, that of two lovers in the autumnal sequence of their romance. For many years, until instructed otherwise regarding its more divine and universal meanings, Jimmy dreamed that perhaps the lovers depicted in the song found their summer, and so also found their way back to each other. To date, Jasmine has not yet denied this possibility in the world of his creation.
