'Something Old' is Jimmy Sky's ninth bedroom studio release. The title closes off a marathon year for Jimmy, one that included seven self-published EP releases and a live acoustic session, complete with hand-designed photo art for each track. A constant thread links each release to the next, and in turn photographic self-portraiture wraps the record into a single theme, yet each song remains a personal story wrapped in metaphor; an emotional ride pinned to a wry rock and roll grin.

More than ten years in the making, 'Something Old' draws on previously unreleased music to surprise and delight long-term fans. Continuing a long-running theme of raw, garage-esque sound, the LP purposefully avoids high-end recording techniques, instead sticking to the limitations of early digital software and single-input interfaces. The result is a unique production style designed to subtly remind music lovers of their favourite lo-fi records.
