Remastered for a new decade, 'Dark Waters' captures the essence of Jimmy Sky's unique approach to music. Paying homage to lo-fi garage sonics and post-punk with gritty, difficult and dissonant sounds, the songs are somehow infectious. 'C Side' production depicts a raw return to a time when demo-grade dark-rock music was all the rage.
Originally the format consisted of seven classic songs on one continuous track, the intended vinyl listening experience is preserved without losing the convenience of online streaming.
The collection exposes a metaphoric story of mental illness, social and sexual repression, debauchery, depression and eventual cathartic redemption.
